This course will develop students’ understanding of the animal industry, animal anatomy and physiology, animal nutrition, animal reproduction, animal ethics and welfare issues, animal health, veterinary medicine, veterinary office practices, and animal services to humans. Career exploration will focus on veterinarian, veterinary lab technicians, office lab assistant, animal production, lab assistant. Training received in this program may be used as a basis for entry level into the labor market or for further education at a postsecondary agency. Students enrolled in this agriculture course may also openly participate in all Fergus FFA events and activities.
