HOW Club was envisioned in 2009 by FHS students who were concerned about spreading an environmentally responsible message throughout Fergus High and the community.
HOW Club was the driving force behind the wind turbine on the Fergus High campus. The wind turbine will be used as a district-wide curricular tool for teachers wishing to educate their students about alternative energy. It is also a symbol for the progressive nature of FHS: to educate their students in the present - for the future.
Ultimately, HOW Club would like to continue to promote student initiative and responsibility and to promote the environmental welfare of the school and community through participation in environmental, community, and social issues.
